「人山人海」一詞是否令你聯想到香港這座城市？人潮湧動，熙來攘往，時刻步履匆匆。然而這裏隨處是山海。它可以成為一個契機，讓人們得以暫時從熙攘的人群中抽離，融入山海環抱。

作為一個全球性的藝術專案，慢速藝術日有一個非常簡單的宗旨：幫助更多人發現和欣賞藝術的樂趣。在中環岸邊，你或許乘著小輪低頭看報，不曾留意海畔碼頭旁的香港海事博物館；又或許在港大校園抱著書本步履匆匆，無心關注林間小道旁的美術博物館。今年，慢速藝術日恰將在這兩處，依山傍海，邀請您慢下來……

此次慢速藝術日的活動於2019年4月6日在香港大學美術博物館與香港海事博物館舉行，分别以「悠然見」和「人·海」作為活動的主題。

「悠然見」主題活動則在香港大學美術博物館舉行。主題構思來自於東晉、劉宋交替時期的著名詩人陶淵明的《飲酒詩》（其五）中著名的一句詩「採菊東籬下，悠然見南山」。詩意可解為「我選擇柵欄邊的紫苑，無憂無慮的我看到了南方的山」。此主題表達了一種閑適的心情和不期而遇的愉悅。我們希望參加者能從這個快節奏的城市放慢腳步，通過三個公共藝術活動：重·何、書頤、墨·語，發現藝術的更多可能性。

Will it remind you of the city of Hong Kong when you read the term ‘people mountain people sea’? Packed with crowded people, Hong Kong is not just hustling and bustling, but also possessing picturesque mountains and seas where citizens may have a chance to withdraw from a fast-paced life, and turn to embrace the scenery of mountains and seas. As a global art event, Slow Art Day responds to the simple mission: help more people discover for themselves the joy of looking at and loving art. Alongside the bank of Central, you may take a ferry to read the newspaper and not notice the Hong Kong Maritime Museum nearby; or you may run with books in campus to neglect the University Museum and Art Gallery in the University of Hong Kong. However, you are encouraged to slow down to visits these two museums on this Slow Art Day.

This program will be held on 6th April 2019, including two thematic programs ‘in-Visible’: and ‘Human × Sea’.

The theme 「悠然見」In-Visible took place in the University Museum and Art Gallery of the University of Hong Kong. The title originated from a poetic sentence “採菊東籬下，悠然見南山” of a poem 《飲酒詩》（其五）  written by Tao Yuanming 陶淵明. This sentence could be translated as: "I pick fence side asters at will, Carefree I see the southern hill." The theme expresses a leisurely mood and the pleasure of unexpected encounters. We hope participants can slow down from such a fast-paced city and meet more possibilities in art through the proposed public activities.
